Definition - Banning Order

Section 14(4), Football Spectators Act 1989 – an order made by the court which;

  1. in relation to regulated football matches in England and Wales, prohibits the person who is subject to the order from entering any premises for the purpose of attending such matches, and
  2. in relation to regulated football matches outside England and Wales, requires that person to report at a police station.
